The next Gathering will be with the musician Eric Thielemans\u00a0https:\/\/www.ericthielemans.com<\/a>\u00a0who has not just long an rich experience on musical collaborations, but he also recently publishes On Resonance: Scores, Notes and Conversations
\nWe all have a body through which we sense the world around us. One could see our
\nbodies as vessels, spaceships, that allow us to explore a vast variety of modes of
\nbeing. As human beings we are thrown into this world entering our diverse families
\nand cultures in which a repertoire of ways of being are shared.
\nWe shake hands this way, greet that way, walk this way, hold ourselves straight
\nthat way, share our excitement this way, dance in public sometimes if at all that way,
\nsing out loud perhaps sometimes not too much this way, get crazy that way.
\nResonance is a culmination of my life in and with music, wherein I explored and
\ncontinue to do so, the many embodied ways in which we connect ourselves to both
\nour inner field of experience, and the outer world in which we exist.
\nHow to partake in this symphony of being, this dance of molecules that is
\nhappening inside and outside of us? Does it not at least sometimes makes you truly
\nwonder whether there is such a clear separation between our so-called inner being
\nand what exists \u2018out there\u2019?
\nAnd the moment of celebration as dance, does it come to us when we prepare
\nand organise, or does it, more often than we\u2019d like it, elude our grabbing and
\ncontrolling tendencies? When does magic, that special experience of flow emerge
\nin our contemporary daily lives?
\nAnd more specifically, how do we, artists, explore, invite and cultivate it today?
\nThis book puts experience first. Experience makes us human. We know some thing
\nis there, because we experience it. We hear whispers in the trees, the stars and the
\nclouds. We see magic in the eyes of a cat.<\/div>\n
